The country hosts numerous festivals, such as Diwali, Holi, and Eid, which are celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor.

Here we Introduce Shadia's story:

I went to India to celebrate Diwali 🪔 for its rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and historical significance. The city I choose to visit was Varanasi also known as Banaras. I found Varanasi a city that embodies many of these qualities. 💗💎

One of the most important aspects was its spiritual significance.

Varanasi, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and is a major center for Hindu spirituality. It's considered the holiest of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism and a place of pilgrimage for millions.

India's cultural diversity is exemplified in Varanasi, where various religious practices, rituals, and festivals coexist harmoniously. The city is a melting pot of traditions and a showcase of India's pluralistic culture.

Staying in Varanasi and getting to know the culture was simply just amazing.  It was very enchanting and it's people were very respectful.

During my visit I came across the fact that Varanasi has a rich history dating back thousands of years. It has been a center of learning, art, and literature, and its history is intertwined with the development of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

I absolutely loved the sacred Ganges River which adds its significance believes to have purifying properties, and many rituals and ceremonies that occurs on its Ghats (steps leading to the river).

Since it was Diwali, the sights of the ceremonies and rituals that took place was unbelievable, colorful and so pleasing to the eye.

It was a delightful experience that I cherish to date. The experience was unique that blended spiritual feels, culture aspects and history awareness that made it a significant and revered place in India and for myself.

 Hope you enjoyed this story!

Until then ILLALIQA ^_^
